Research
If I had the power and means to perform a research for the early childhood field my research would be on how a culturally resposnive classroom enhances learning and creating a classroom family. This research would benefit children and families in becoming a part of the classroom family. All children would benfit from being in a culturally responsive classroom by learning a new language and learning that children celebrate and have different family and life experiences. I think this is a research topic that should be done because some places such as the city I live in do not have many children from different cultures, and this would help in preparing for different language . I also think this would help because culture does not always mean that you are from another clture. We have so many children with different backgrounds that man classrooms are culturally diversed.

What are great topic. I had a friend who taught 3rd grade to Special Education students and in February she had her class put on a play about different African-American's who had made a difference in our society. It was great to see that the kids enjoyed learning about other people and love teaching others. My friend also a student who was deaf and one that was hard of hearing. She had taught the class some easy sign language so the students could communicate with those who could not talk.
ReplyDeleteExcellence topic. Learning a new culutre would be a great benefit. With this day in time, we need to incoprate another language into the classroom. More and more hispanics are coming to our country, and I personally find it hard to relate with them. Just the other day, I had my co-worker speak on my behalf to a customer about shoes!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great topic. I was raised military and have been active duty myself. I have seen so many diverse school sytems as a student myself and as a parent. I think it is very imprtant to teach our children diversity at a young age. It helps them become better people with less prejudice and open minds.
ReplyDeleteHello Joy,
ReplyDeleteWow, this would be a great way to teach your class about other cultures. Personally, this would be a topic I would enjoy to participate in because I never had the opportunity to work with different children from other countries. Also, I only know how to speak English. Teaching this topic will help bring different cultures together in the classroom and in the community.
